Plinths
The plinth is the base of the turntable. The plinth gives the turntable stability and absorbs noisy vibrations that might otherwise be picked up by the cartridge and transmitted through the speakers. Custom made plinths add a decorative finish to your turntable. Exotic woods and interesting alloys are often found in decorative plinths.
